Regenokine® is a non-surgical, anti inflammatory treatment indicated for osteoarthritis, joint pain, back pain, neck pain and some muscle, tendon and ligament issues. This treatment is a new biological approach to treating arthritis, joint and spine pain. The Regenokine® program uses a patient’s own anti inflammatory proteins and the body’s own natural healing processes to reduce pain, improve function and restore the joint. Regenokine® is a serum created by the patient’s own blood containing high concentrations of anti inflammatory proteins and growth factors. These proteins counteract the inflammatory process in the joint or spine. While most therapies focus on interim pain relief, the Regenokine® program focuses on addressing the root cause of the pain and inflammation. Regenokine® works to slow the progression of osteoarthritis and reduces pain, stiffness and swelling.

Regenokine® works by stimulating blood cells to produce specific proteins. These proteins are isolated from the blood and injected into the joint, tendon or ligament. Once the protein is injected into the area it binds to inflammatory receptors on the surface of your joint, blocking and ultimately dismantling the receptor. Blocking and dismantling these receptors reduces inflammation, allows healing to occur and protects the healthy cartilage in the joint for months to years. The decrease in inflammation leads to a decrease or elimination of pain, increase in mobility and helps preserve the healthy cartilage in the joint.

The Regenokine® Program has been in clinical use for approximately 10 years. It is estimated that over 20,000 patients have been treated with the Regenokine® Program in Europe and the US in this time period. Over 100,000 patients have been treated with sole serum injections (ACS).

Depending on the treated disease, the Regenokine® Procedure is performed either as a single shot, or as a series of injections. Factors influencing this decision include type and severity of a disease, clinical complaints and comorbidities (pre-existing illnesses).

Duration of effect depends on the individual, the treated disease and its severity. We typically note a lasting effect between 1 to 5 years in knee and hip osteoarthritis. In disc prolapses we sometimes observe a permanent effect, this may be due to the Regenokine® Program, the natural course of the disease itself or a combination of the two.

The best candidates are those with mild to moderate osteoarthritis in any natural joint including back and neck. We treat individuals with advanced or “Stage 4” osteoarthritis, however, the result of treatment varies based on the stage of cartilage degeneration. Why? Regenokine® does not regrow cartilage. It works to protect healthy cartilage in the joint. Stage 4 OA or bone-on-bone clients have very little or no cartilage left in the joint. For these clients Regenokine® may be successful but we typically give clients a less optimistic outcome of treatment.

The inflammatory receptors grow back over time. Receptors can grow faster in the presence of higher inflammation and slower in the presence of lower inflammation. Higher systemic inflammation occurs from poor lifestyle habits such as improper nutrition, sleep and exercise.
No we do not add anything to the blood.
We expose your blood to various environmental conditions to stimulate IL-1Ra production. We do not add anything to the blood or modify your blood.
We don’t know unless you are treated. Regenokine® works in 70% of the population. A response to treatment is considered a 50% reduction in pain for 2 or more years. This means if you are treated and have half as much pain and twice as much movement this is a positive outcome. This is the minimum we expect to see if you are a responder to the Regenokine® treatment. Our goal is of course for you to have no pain.
We determine candidacy for treatment using imaging of the joint (x-ray, MRI, CT), medical history, symptoms and a physical exam.
The Regenokine® program is not FDA approved and has not been reviewed by the FDA. Regenokine® is a medical program and is not considered a drug or medical device.
We define treatment success when a patient achieves an improvement by 50% or greater. This improvement can refer to pain reduction or improved function (daily activities or sports). We use standardized questionnaires and scores to compare clinical parameters before and after treatment. Individual responder rate depends on the type of disease, severity, individual pain situation and other factors. We estimate that approximately 75% in patients with mid-stage knee osteoarthritis and an “average pain profile“ will experience success with the treatment. This conversely means that a small percentage of patients notice only a small change or no change at all.
The treatment can be repeated if the patient responds well. An interval of 2 two 4 years tends to be the average of frequency in osteoarthritis.
We take care of patients of any age (18-99 years) and profession. The Program has been used successfully in the treatment of popes, princes, professional athletes and film and music stars, as well as thousands of less famous people. Amongst the 20,000 patients, we have treated world class NBA players, top ten ATP tennis players, former PGA champions, UFC champions, the world’s finest ballet dancers, NHL players, soccer players, professional skiers and players from the national Olympic teams (including the US Team). With the utmost discretion, we have the honor that players of the following sports teams have entrusted us with their health.

Pain, stiffness and swelling are all symptoms of inflammation in a joint. Using anti inflammatory proteins to decrease the inflammation leads to a reduction or elimination of these symptoms. Chronic and persistent inflammation in the joint also leads to destruction of cartilage. Reducing or eliminating chronic inflammation works to protect the healthy cartilage in the joint as well.

The primary protein isolate in Regenokine® is your own IL-1Ra. IL1-Ra (good anti-inflammatory protein), has been identified as the primary mediator (or boss) of the inflammatory process in about 70% of the population. Introducing your own IL-1Ra into the joint at higher concentrations then normally present changes the balance of good and bad proteins. The increase in good proteins (anti inflammatory IL-1Ra) in the joint allows the good proteins (IL1-Ra) to reach the receptors before the bad proteins (inflammatory IL-1). Over the course of treatment the good proteins will block and disable more and more of the receptor on the surface of the cartilage leading to less pain, better range of motion and protection of the healthy cartilage.

The treatment is totally safe. There are no side effects from the Regenokine® serum as this is a product that is made from and comes from your body. There is no risk of reaction or allergy. There is an inherent risk of infection from any joint injection however this risk is lower with Regenokine® because your blood and serum is inherently antimicrobial.

For peripheral joints you have 6 injection appointments. In each appointment you may have more than one injection depending on your specific problem or issue. For back or neck injections you have 4 injection appointments. In each of these appointments there is almost always more than 1 injection per appointment.
We ask that you complete your injection series within 3 weeks. You can schedule injections every day or space them out. There is no proven difference in outcome for treatment based on your injection schedule.
No. Regenokine® is not like PRP. It is a completely different treatment with a completely different clinical use, indication and outcome.
  • Peripheral: If you have had a joint injection before it is the same process and procedure. The injection is given into the joint space. Clients typically report a full or filling sensation in the joint.
  • Spine: If you have had spine injection before it is the same process and procedure. You will be asked to change into a gown and lie face down on the table. They will clean your back, anesthetize (numb) the area and then perform the Regenokine® injections using x-ray guidance
  • Tendon: Tendon injections are similar to joint injection. They sometimes give a burning sensation.
  • Peripheral: Clients typically feel joint fullness for about an hour after the injection. After that you should feel normal. If you have your injections on consecutive days you may experience some soreness at the injection site.
  • Back/neck: Clients will experience some soreness or stiffness immediately after each injection. If your injections are on consecutive days the soreness will increase. Soreness typically takes about a week to fully resolve.
